Labradoodle Dog Breeds
Labradoodle dog breeds were initially developed in
Australia by a man named Wally Cochran during the 1970s.
A breeding farm named Tegan Park subsequently took over
and has been perfecting the breed ever since. A cross
between Standard Poodles and Labrador Retrievers, these
dogs offer a wonderful combination of the best
attributes from each of their parent breeds.
Advantages of Labradoodle Dog Breeds
At Washington Labradoodles, we have developed a
relationship with Tegan Park in order to offer only
multi-generational dogs. Although first generation dogs
are offered by a number of breeders across the United
States, such dogs do not always guarantee the desired
advantages of the breed. With over 20 years of
experience breeding such dogs, Tegan Park has greater
control over their results.
One of the principal reasons people are so attracted
to these dogs is because of their coat. Just like
poodles, Labradoodles have a wool or fleece-like coat
that rarely sheds and is extremely
allergy/asthma-friendly. Additionally, Labradoodle dog
breeds typically have no body odor, making them an even
more perfect choice for individuals with allergies.
In addition to these physical benefits, Labradoodles
are among the smartest and friendliest dogs available.
People-oriented, these dogs are an excellent choice for
families with young children. They are also fast
learners--Labradoodles are easy to train and make
perfect companions, regardless of where you live.
